Central Banking

Here I explore the source of America’s failure

With the fed, the availability of funds for congress meant they could spend in an uncontested manner. That is, if you do not have to write the bill directly to the taxpayer, the taxpayer does immediately complain about some spending program. As such, the taxpayer is left to complain after the debt is incurred. Complaints become generalized about the size of the debt rather than about specific programs, and thereby are ineffectual.
This benefits two sorts of people:

  • the bankers / investors who profit from the debt
  • the special interests in control of congress, including congressmen
This also has a side of effect of increasing the size of government. When you have a hammer, everything is a nail. And, when you have a money printer, deep pockets and many friends, everything is solved by printing more money (and expanding government).

There are many negative effects of having bigger government, enriched bankers, and enriched special interests. These effects, however, can be generalized by the motivations of those that benefit.

What do bankers want?

  • more money, more government spending
  • less regulation (for big banks and investors) that would prevent them from making more money
  • less competition in the form of other upstart banks or credit unions (more barriers to entry that might include regulation)
  • less currency competition – ensure other currencies remain weak

What does government want?

  • more federal government power
    • unconstitutional agencies (most of them)
    • more court rulings in favor of government – judges that will side with the government against the law and set precedent for misinterpretations of the constitution and amendments
  • less power of the individual to resist government
    • more control over the individual
      • medical control
      • property control
      • job control (licensure)
      • movement control
      • wealth control

What do special interests want?

  • This depends.
    • Military contractors want war and warfare.
    • Pharma wants guaranteed profits, immunity, and limited competition.
    • Globalists want a weaker America by way of destruction of culture.
